Faro is the living embodiment of the versatility, intelligence, biddability and enthusiasm of the Belgian Shepherd.
Coming from the well-known Deabei kennel (Beata Stybrova) in the Czech Republic, he is out of a pure working line dog (IGP/IPO/Schutzhund, Mondioring, French Ring) bred to a show line female whose lineage include many dogs with working titles, demonstrating their confident, solid temperament and athleticism.
At 11 months old, in the middle of COVID, he obtained his title of Trick Dog Grand Champion, making him the youngest Belgian Shepherd to obtain this title. He was also the 1st Tervueren in Canada, 2nd Tervueren in the world, 3rd Belgian Shepherd all varieties combined in Canada and 9th Belgian Shepherd in the world all varieties combined. ​
In 2023, at the age of 2, he obtained 10 new titles throughout the year. ​
Faro earned his Canadian Conformation Championship in 2023, winning Best of Breed as well as placing 3rd in the very competitive Herding Group (Group 7). He finished his Canadian Conformation Grand Championship at the 2024 Belgian Regional Specialty, being awarded Select Male, and winning the working class (best male and best in class).

Now retired from conformation, he is trained in IGP (obedience, protection and tracking), competitive obedience and agility, and he excels at dog-sledding all winter. He was also introduced with great success to several other canine sports (herding, scent detection, rat sports, dock diving, etc.). ​
He is a very active male who has a high energy demand but has an excellent "off switch". He has a strong temperament although very sweet with people, lots of prey and toy drive, is confident and demonstrates a lot of possession. His ability to contextualize different situations represents a huge asset that allows us to perform well in several disciplines, but also to live in harmony with small parrots, a free-roaming bunny and a horse.
He is an extraordinary dog ​​who, in my opinion, represents the best of what the Belgian Shepherd should be.

At the Salon National des Animaux de Compagnie de Québec, Faro got his first Q in Starter Jumper (AAC).
July 2024
At the CARS trials, he gets 2 Qs for his novice gambler (AAC) et now goes to advanced gambler.
June 2024 - Regional Specialty
New Grand Champion!
Faro obtained his canadian conformation Grand Championship, winning Select Male against 5 Champion Males and 2 Grand Champions, and 3 class males. He also wins Best in Working Class.

November 2023
Faro obtains his CRNCL title (CARO Rally Novice with Cum Laude mention) from the Canadian Association of Rally-Obedience.
September 2023
Faro passes his BH-VT with flying colors with Judge Andrea Duggan, an international obedience & temperament test.
August 2023
In the same week-end, Faro gets his Obedience Novice title (CD) as well as Rally Advanced (RA), with 2 first places, which gives him his versatility advanced title.
July 2023
During the same week-end, Faro passes his obedience pre-novice title (PCD), obtains a first Q in novice obedience (CD), and is awarded best of opposite sex and select male in conformation for 4 Grand Championship points.
June 2023
Faro finishes his Canadian Conformation Champion title with a Best of Breed and a 3rd place in the very competitive herding group. Thanks to well respected herding judge, M. Jeremy Browne.
