Why us?
Do you think that the price asked by a responsible and ethical breeder is too high, or that the questionnaire requested by the breeder is too much? Keep in mind that your puppy will most likely end up costing you more if you purchase it from a person who will sell you a puppy without asking you any questions, a puppy raised in the back of a shed, from parents with questionable temperament and genetics.
We've seen it happen. A one-year-old dog who needs to be euthanized because he has severe dysplasia, a puppy who needs to be medicated for his entire life due to genetic health problems or anxiety, the services of a behaviorist to help you manage behavioral problems stemming from a lack of socialization or questionable genetics, those are just some of the problems you expose yourself to by getting your puppy from a pet store or a bad breeder.
If your means do not allow you to take your dog from a good breeder, save a life and adopt from a shelter where the dogs have received all necessary veterinary care and have been evaluated by a vet, and where their temperament and personality have been assessed to ensure they match with your family and lifestyle.
1
Basic veterinary care
Our puppies have all received a veterinary exam, their first vaccinations, deworming, are microchipped and registered with the Canadian Kennel Club.
2
Proper socialization
Our puppies are raised with Avidog & the full Puppy Culture protocols in the house with us, are desensitized to multiple surfaces, noises, odors, to the car, have started crate training and potty training, have been in regular contact with young children and other animals.

We also do formal evaluations of our puppies, which helps us match the right puppy with the right home. Even within one breed and one litter, each puppy has its own personality.
3
Health
Our dogs are screened for genetic diseases that go well beyond the tests that are recommended in the breed. Our dogs all appear in the North American database of genetic diseases in dogs overseen by the OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals), an organization which also offers certification via analysis and ratings by independent radiologists and laboratories.
Our dogs have successfully passed their hip and elbow x-rays (free from dysplasia), their spine (free from spondylosis, transverse vertebra or other problem that could have an impact on their ability to do sports), their thyroid tests, their annual eye exams performed by an ophthalmologist.
They are all non-affected by genetic diseases detectable by DNA (SDCA, DM, CJM, etc.) and have obtained or are in the process of obtaining their advanced cardiac certification.
We carefully study our dogs' pedigrees, both horizontal and vertical, to learn about potential health issues in our bloodlines.
Despite everything, we offer a health guarantee with our puppies.
4
Mental stability and aptitudes
The parents of our puppies have proven the stability of their temperament as well as their aptitudes in sports through their competition results. They have also demonstrated that they are able to handle the stress and pressure that comes with competitive environments and adapt easily to new environments (noises, lots of dogs and humans, different locations each time etc. ). They have also proven that their good conformation allows them to be physically active without risk of injury.
We are committed to preserving the qualities inherent to the breed, a stable and confident temperament, a solid and healthy structure, conformity to the standard, and the historical aptitudes of the Belgian Shepherd.

Experience
We have had Belgian Shepherds since 2012 and know the particularities inherent to the breed very well. We have also been involved with rescues in various ways, including fostering dozens of dogs, evaluating them, and choosing suitable adoptive families for over a hundred dogs over the years. We pride ourselves in doing courses, attending seminars, workshops, webinars, and continuous training with the best in the fields. We are actively involved in many dog sports.
We have the knowledge and experience to match the right puppy with the right family and to help and support you for the lifetime of this pup.
